This is the room where people most often already have an account, because signing up to GG is quick. An account that already exists cannot normally be changed afterwards. Message me and I will say what is and is not possible.

One feature of GG's own scheme is worth knowing before you sign up: an undisclosed player value score decides what your rake is worth to the room, and winning regulars are scored below recreational players. No page can tell you what GG's own cashback will pay you specifically, including this one.

What GGPoker's own rewards give you

A tiered cashback ladder climbing on points earned from rake, with the top tiers paying a substantial share back, plus rake races and a constant rotation of promotions. On paper it is one of the more generous schemes in online poker, and for a recreational player it genuinely is.

For a winning regular it lands lower, because of the player value score above. That is the part to weigh before you judge the headline tiers.

The games

GGPoker is one of the two largest online poker sites in the world. Average traffic runs into six figures, games are available at any hour of any day, and the tournament schedule is the deepest of any room here by a wide margin. It holds licences across several regulated markets and the entity you land on depends on where you live.

The game selection is the widest on this site. Hold'em six and nine-handed, Omaha in four, five and six-card forms, Short Deck, all-in-or-fold, the network's fast-fold game, its three-handed hyper-turbo, and a list of proprietary formats that exist nowhere else.

The client is excellent and it is where GG has led the market. Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, with a HUD, a hand history analyser and a set of table tools built in.

It suits tournament players above all, and the volume alone makes that argument. It suits recreational and mid-stakes players, who get the softest end of a pool this size. It suits anyone who wants a game at three in the morning.

What to know before you deposit

The player value score is the one to plan around, and it is unusual enough to state plainly. GG decides what your rake is worth to it using a formula it does not publish, and winning cash regulars are scored below recreational players. Two people generating identical rake can be paid quite differently, and neither can find out why. It is the one part of an otherwise excellent room that works against a regular, and it is exactly why the deal on top matters here.

Beyond that, all third-party software is blocked, so your own tracker and database will not work. And preflop pots above a low threshold are raked, which means three-bet pots ending preflop cost you. That adds up if you play a lot of short-stack or heads-up poker.

Deposits and withdrawals

The broadest on this site. Cards, Skrill, Neteller, AstroPay, Payz, Apple Pay, Pix and the major cryptocurrencies, with limits from single figures up to five.

Withdrawals take one to six days depending on method and carry a small flat fee, with crypto the fastest route out. Identity verification is required, so do it early rather than at the point you want your money.
