Why Unibet Poker's games are so soft
Unibet Poker is soft by design rather than by accident. Screen names change up to three times a day, you cannot watch a table before you sit, auto-rebuy is off, tables are capped, and every kind of HUD is banned. Recreational players cannot be found or followed, so they lose more slowly and stay, and the pool stays mostly recreational. In my view it is the softest room I am affiliated with.
Soft by design
Most rooms say they protect recreational players. Unibet Poker actually does, and it does it by taking tools away from everyone.
Players can change their screen name up to three times a day, so a read you built on Tuesday is useless on Wednesday. You cannot observe a table before you join it, so you cannot pick your seat by who is already sitting. Auto-rebuy is disabled. Tables are capped at eight seats, and four at the smallest stake. All third-party software is banned, with no exceptions and with enforcement behind it.
Put those together and a recreational player cannot be identified, tracked or hunted. They lose more slowly, they come back, and the pool stays soft. It is the same idea as anonymous tables, applied more thoroughly. Anonymous poker tables covers how the other rooms do it.
In my view that makes Unibet the softest room I am affiliated with, and it may be the softest room with real traffic anywhere. I am saying that as an opinion. The mechanisms above are facts.
What it costs you
Every feature that makes the games soft also constrains you. No HUD, no database, no table selection, no auto-rebuy, and a hard cap on how many tables you can play at once.
If your edge comes from volume and information, most of it does not survive here. If your edge comes from playing better than the person across from you, all of it does.
Cash games stop at mid stakes, so Unibet cannot be a main room for anyone above that. Traffic is solid rather than large. Country restrictions are extensive, covering more than sixty jurisdictions, so check yours before you go further or ask me.
The rake is inverted
This is the second reason Unibet is unusual, and for a small-stakes player it matters more than the rewards do.
Almost everywhere in online poker, the lowest stakes pay the highest effective rake. Unibet turns that around. The lowest stakes pay the lowest rake, it climbs as you move up, and there is a permanent cap at every level. Micro-stakes players, who pay the most everywhere else, pay the least here.
Banzai and Hexapro
Two formats exist at Unibet and nowhere else on this site.
Banzai is short-stack Hold'em with a very low rake. Hexapro is the three-handed hyper-turbo with extended blind levels, so the jackpots run larger than in a standard spin format. Alongside those you get standard Hold'em and Omaha, a tournament schedule and a small sit-and-go offering.
The client is Unibet's own, with 3D avatars, on Windows plus native apps for iOS and Android.
The rewards, briefly
Unibet's loyalty scheme is a quarterly ladder with a bonus-points multiplier that runs from 3% to 18%, plus step rewards and missions on top. The 60.5% the room advertises is a ceiling that stacks everything at the top level. Unibet Poker loyalty explained goes through where that number comes from and what an ordinary player actually gets.
Unibet holds a Maltese licence, which is a real regulator with a complaints route behind it.
Who it suits
A recreational or small-stakes player who wants to be left alone. A player learning the game who does not want to be a target. Anyone whose edge is in the hands rather than in the software.
It does not suit a HUD-dependent regular or anyone who needs stakes above the middle.

Common questions
- Is Unibet Poker good for beginners?
- Yes, and it is one of the few rooms built with that in mind. The rake is lowest at the smallest stakes, nobody can track or target you, and the pool is mostly recreational. The trade is that you cannot use a HUD either.
- Can I use a HUD or tracker at Unibet Poker?
- No. All third-party software is banned outright and the ban is enforced. If your game depends on a HUD, Unibet is the wrong room, and it is meant to be.
- Can I play high stakes at Unibet Poker?
- No. Cash games stop at mid stakes and multi-tabling is capped, so it cannot be a main room for anyone above that. Traffic is solid rather than large.
- What are Banzai and Hexapro?
- Banzai is short-stack Hold'em with a very low rake. Hexapro is Unibet's three-handed hyper-turbo with extended blind levels, so the jackpots run larger. Neither exists at any other room on this site.
